Gro is fully localized and relevant for the Canadian population, delivered in English and French and taking into account local food preferences, cultural norms and expectations. Meal plans and recipes feature Canadian favorites such as pizza, low-carb poutine, and low-carb pie.
Over 1,000 hours of content across these 4 therapy areas is grounded in behavior change psychology supporting users to make gradual changes to their habits.
- Nutrition: users can choose from low-carb and fasting programs providing meal plans and food swaps. The low-carb stream of Gro is the award-winning and clinically-validated Low Carb Program shown to put type 2 diabetes into remission in 1 in 4 patients at 1-year.
- Sleep: practical activities to improve sleep including bedtime stories, meditations and music to sleep to.
- Activity: guided on-demand workouts tailored to user fitness level.
- Wellbeing: support to improve mental well-being, including guided meditations, visualizations, yoga and relaxation exercises.
Users of the app are supported by a team of dedicated behavior change coaches, daily updated content and practical activities to eat well, live well, stay calm and connected.
Gro is approved by QISMET for delivery as structured education for delivery as self-management education for patients with obesity, prediabetes, type 2 diabetes.
